Yes, we feel the emptiness after Game of Thrones ended too. While there’s no TV show quite as addictive, visually stunning, and unpredictable yet, you can at least check what your favorite actors have been up to – be it movies, TV, or even music videos! No. 6 has great taste ?
1. Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo)
A memorable performance: Baywatch.
Young Jason Momoa may have been the half of his current size, but he was still ripped! When the pictures from his lifeguard days resurfaced, of course, they went viral ?
A must-see blockbuster: Aquaman
It’s one of those DC movies that fared quite well, and Jason was apparently born to play the king of the undersea nation of Atlantis ?
A hidden treasure: Braven
Jason portrays a logger who defends his family from a group of dangerous drug runners. All we know is we’d definitely NOT want to piss him off!
2. Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)
A memorable performance: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Is Lena Headey a certified badass? Looking at her filmography, she’d certainly deserve some award for kicking ass! Which is precisely what she did as dangerous Sarah Connor, a mother who sacrificed everything for her son’s future.
A must-see blockbuster: 300
And is she a queen, period? While terrifying Cersei may not be the person you’d want to be in charge of a country, Queen Gorgo was just as fierce and passionate, but unlike the cold Lannister queen, her heart was in the right place ?
A hidden treasure: Aberdeen
A lovely little film that should never be forgotten. Lena got a juicy role and enjoyed it to the last bit: coke-loving, a sex-obsessed lawyer who is forced to reconnect with her estranged alcoholic father, played by Stellan Skarsgård.
3. Kit Harington (Jon Snow)
A memorable performance: Testament of Youth
Many were disappointed when Jon Snow didn’t get to sit on the Iron Throne, and many others by mediocre films Kit Harington appeared in. Testament of Youth isn’t one of them: this love story set in the times of war will melt your heart, as well as Kit’s dreamy, sensitive, poetic Roland.
A must-see blockbuster: Pompeii
Okay, this version of the story about the downfall of Pompeii may not be the best film on the list, but… Have you seen his abs? ?
A hidden treasure: How to Train Your Dragon 2&3
Did you know that one of the voices in How to Train Your Dragon series belongs to Kit? ? He voiced Eret, self-touted “Greatest Dragon Trapper Alive.”
4. Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)
A memorable performance: The Station Agent
The Station Agent was directed by Oscar-winning Tom McCarthy, was awarded BAFTA for the best original screenplay, and holds an impressive 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Peter Dinklage shines in the role of Finbar McBride, who moves to an abandoned train station to live the life of a hermit when his only friend dies. The thing is, his neighbors have different plans…
A must-see blockbuster: X-Men: Days of Future Past
One of the best X-Men movies, thanks to a great script that cleverly pulled off a time travel plot. Peter was cast as the main villain: Bolivar Trask, creator of Sentinels, who united the world against mutants.
A hidden treasure: The Angriest Man in Brooklyn
This film has a great cast: Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, Melissa Leo… And it’s a lot of fun to watch the perpetually angry Robin Williams running around the whole New York, trying to make amends with everyone he’s ever hurt. Including his brother, portrayed by Peter Dinklage.
5. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark)
A memorable performance: Bastille: Oblivion
Technically not a movie or a TV show, but this music video has to be mentioned. It’s so simple, yet it’s a touching and unforgettable experience because of the myriad of emotions on Sophie’s face. Are you going to age with grace?
A must-see blockbuster: Dark Phoenix
This installment of the X-Men franchise got A LOT of hate, but Sophie took over the formidable Jean Grey with honor. X-Men have their ups and downs, but as a whole, they deserve love!
A hidden treasure: Nothing yet, keep an eye out for the future!
6. Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)
A memorable performance: Me Before You
Emilia looks completely different without her blonde Daenerys wig, and perhaps that helped her a little to avoid typecasting. One of her most memorable movies is a tearjerker Me Before You – a romantic drama about a caretaker that falls for a recently paralyzed man ?
A must-see blockbuster: Solo: A Star Wars Story
Goodbye, Westeros, hello, the whole galaxy ? Emilia appeared in the Star Wars universe as Qi’ra, Han Solo’s childhood best friend and romantic interest.
A hidden treasure: Voice from the Stone
History, mystery, and some chills down your spine ? Emilia plays Verena, a nurse that comes to work for a mute young heir within an isolated castle in Tuscany. Not long after, she starts to feel the presence of an otherworldly persona trapped in the castle’s stone walls.
